After through consideration and inquiries, Kalam Initiative extended financial assistance to a gentleman in Sungai Siput, Perak, who was facing significant challenges. He is a self-employed plumber and has a large family, which includes his wife and seven children. Despite his efforts, his household income is only about RM1,000, which is not enough to support his family. Due to health reasons, he is unable to take additional jobs, and he does not receive any government aid.
Understanding his struggles, Kalam Initiative allocated RM1800 in financial aid. The money was disbursed in monthly instalments of RM150 for 12 months, which he can use for groceries or to pay utilities. We trusted that his aid would provide some relief and ease his financial burdens during this difficult period.
